NEWBORN LIFESTYLE

Newborn sessions are intentionally unhurried and baby-led. There’s plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, cuddles, and soothing whenever needed. There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep or “cooperate” — we simply follow their rhythm and capture your family as you are.

WHAT DOES “LIFESTYLE NEWBORN” MEAN?

Lifestyle newborn photography is about documenting these early days just as they are — natural, intimate, and beautifully real.

Instead of elaborate posing, wrapping, baskets, or styled setups, I focus on your baby’s natural features, your connection as a family, and the little everyday moments that make this season yours.

That also means embracing the details that are part of having a newborn. Peeling skin, tiny flakes, wrinkles, and other temporary newborn features are part of their story, and I don’t automatically remove them in Photoshop. My editing is intentionally natural and preserves what your baby truly looked like during these first days.

Your session can also include the little routines that are already becoming part of your life together. If you’d like to give your baby a bath, feed them, change them, get them dressed, rock them to sleep, or simply cuddle together, I can document those moments too.

There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep, stay in a certain position, or “cooperate.” We follow their rhythm, take breaks whenever needed, and let the session unfold naturally.

The goal isn’t to create a perfect version of these days — it’s to preserve them as they truly felt.

WHEN SHOULD WE SCHEDULE?

The ideal time for a newborn session is within the first 15 days after birth. During these early days, babies are typically sleepier and still have that unmistakable brand-new look — tiny features, delicate skin, and all the little details that change so quickly.

If possible, I highly recommend scheduling your session within this window.

However, because my newborn sessions are lifestyle-focused rather than traditionally posed, babies can still be photographed as newborns up to 3 months old.

After the first few weeks, your baby will likely be more awake, expressive, and interactive, so the session may look a little different — but we can still beautifully document this early chapter of your family’s story.

0–15 days: Ideal newborn window

CINEMATIC HIGHLIGHT FILM ($175)

 

Add a 30 second short cinematic film to your newborn experience, capturing the tiny movements, cuddles, little stretches, yawns, feeding, and quiet moments that photographs alone can’t preserve.

Includes additional session time to allow for both photography and filming.

 

PORTRAIT RETOUCHING

 

My standard editing focuses on color, lighting, and maintaining a natural, authentic look. It does not include detailed skin, hair, or makeup corrections. Natural newborn details such as peeling skin, tiny flakes, and temporary blemishes are intentionally preserved rather than automatically removed in Photoshop.


If you’d like additional retouching, you can select your favorite images after receiving your gallery. Retouching can include softening or removing peeling skin and temporary blemishes, natural skin corrections, and flyaway hair cleanup upon request.


I keep all retouching natural — no artificial-looking skin or heavy alterations. I do not alter body shape or proportions, including slimming or reshaping. Minor makeup touch-ups, such as correcting makeup smudged by tears, may be included. However, I do not alter or correct the original makeup application.
